今年の夏も、ニューヨーカーだけでなく、世界中からの観光客もお待ちかねの、『New York Restaurant Week（ニューヨーク・レストランウィーク）』がやって来ます！　この『ニューヨーク・レストランウィーク』は、このイベントに参加している、ニューヨーク州内の250店舗以上のレストランのお食事（ランチかディナー、または両方行っている店舗もあります）を激安でいただけちゃうという、グルメなあなたには最高のイベントです。具体的には、ランチの場合もディナーも場合も、それぞれのレストランのシェフが思考を凝らした自慢の特別メニューから、アペタイザー、メイン、デザート（コーヒーなどの飲み物は除く）の３コースで構成されており、ランチは24.07ドル、ディナーは35ドルという破格値で最高のお料理を味わうことができるのです。「ランチで24.07ドルなんて高い！」と思った人は、まずはウエッブサイトの参加レストラン一覧（http://nycgo.com/?event=view.restaurantweek）を見てみてください。そこには、憧れフレンチの『nougatine at jean georges』や人気のイタリアン『Gotham Bar & Grill』、また日本でもアメリカでも“アイアン・シェフ”として名高い森本氏のレストラン『Morimoto』などなど、通常なら、ディナーの一人分が150〜200ドルは当たり前！　の一流レストランが名前を連ねています。普段は、「ちょっと敷居が高くて行けないな……」というレストランでも、このレストランウィークの時期なら、余裕で行くことができますよね！

昨年の夏のレストランウィークでは、約240店舗だった参加店も、今期は250店舗以上に増え、また、これまでは“日曜を除く”という注意書きがあったレストランでも、今期は日曜日も参加しはじめた店も多く、うれしいこと続き！　ただし、金額が安いからといって、一流レストランのサービスが変わるわけではありません。レストランを訪れる際は、ラフすぎないスタイル（店によってはドレスコードも有るのでサイトで確認しましょう）で行き、支払の際は、合計金額の18％〜20％を、チップとして加算するようにしましょう。
