新ヤンキースタジアムがついにオープン！13億ドルが費やされたまるでお城のような球場です

まるで宝石箱を引っくり返したように華やかなニューヨークの街に、また新たな名所が誕生しました。長い間、街の象徴して親しまれた旧ヤンキースタジアムが昨年限りで役目を終え、今季から豪華な新球場がオープンしたのです。

この新ヤンキースタジアム建築のために費やされた総工費は、驚くなかれ、なんと合計13億ドル以上（約1300億円）！「　野球をするだけの場所になぜそこまでのお金をかけるの？」などと思うなかれ。新球場は老若男女が漏れなく楽しめるテーマパークのような場所なのです。まず建物自体がゴージャスで美しいことは言うまでもなく、写真でお分かりのように、まるでお城のような作りに目を奪われることでしょう。そして球場の中に入ると、スコアボード際に掲げられた巨大なオーロラビジョンの姿にすぐに度肝を抜かれるはず。三菱とソニーが手を組んで作りあげたという、サイズ約31×18メートルの巨大フルハイビジョン・スクリーンによって、スタジアム内の様子はすべて奇麗に映し出されるのです。さらに、旧スタジアムの売り物だった“モニュメント・パーク”も健在。ベーブ・ルースやジョー・ディマジオら伝説的名選手たちの記念碑が飾られたこのパークは、スポーツファンには絶対に見逃せない聖地として、今後も親しまれていくことは間違いナシ。それ以外にも、ハードロック・カフェやステーキハウスまで備わっており、恋人や子供たちが「お腹がすいた」、とダダをこねたときへの対策も万全。通路の幅も広いため、５万人が集まった中でも移動のストレスは感じません。そしてもちろん、松井秀喜選手、デレク・ジーター選手ら、スーパースターぞろいのヤンキースの試合が、この瀟酒な建物の中で優雅に楽しめるのです！

新球場の見所を挙げていったらこのようにキリがないのですが、１つだけ確かに言えるのは、ニューヨークを訪れた人には絶対に見逃せない場所であるということ。チケット代が高いのが玉にキズ（平均約72ドル）ですが、それだけの価値はある。野球ファンでも、そうではなくても、あなたも今すぐ新ヤンキースタジアムへ「ゴー！」です。
