ニューヨークに住んでいる人、また感置くに来たことがある人ならお気づきのかたも多いと思いますが、ニューヨーク、とくにマンハッタンで犬を飼っている人はじつに多く、道を歩いていても、10分に１回は散歩中のわんちゃんと飼い主を見る、と言っても決して過言ではないほどです。日々多忙なニューヨーカーも、その時間をぬっては、大切な愛犬をこまめに散歩に出したり、ドッグランへ連れて行ったりしたりと一生懸命ケアをしています。

そんななか、一部のニューヨーカーから絶大なる支持を得ているあるドッグ・サービスがあるんです。それがこの『Puppy Pals Play Group（パピー・パルズ・プレイ・グループ）。『パピー・パルズ・プレイ・グループ』は、そんな大都会で生活する人間とわんちゃんのための最高のサービスを提供してくれるグループで、なにが最高かというと、愛犬を車で郊外まで連れて行ってくれ、自然の中でぞんぶんに遊ばせてくれるという点です。忙しいニューヨーカーのためのドッグウォーカーのサービスならたくさんありますが、なかには、一度に５匹以上の犬を連れていたり、携帯電話で話しながら歩いていたりと、ドッグウォーカーの意識はほとんど犬には向いていない場合が多いのですが、『パピー・パルズ・プレイ・グループ』のスタッフは、複数犬を受け持つ場合は、人も必ず複数おり、犬が犬社会で学ぶべきことまでをも把握しながら、確実に注意を払います。また彼等の中には、犬を扱うにあたっての資格を持つスタッフも多いため、「安心して任せられる」というのがなにより大きなポイントです。成犬はもちろんのこと、これから犬社会、また人との関わりについて学ばなければいけないパピーも、成犬とは別に分けて預かり、訓練してくれるので言うこと無し！　日本にも、早くこんなサービスができるといいですね！
