まだまだ寒い日が続くニューヨークですが、どっしりと重い冬クフにもそろそろ飽きてきた頃……。街を歩いていても、ブティックのショーウィンドウに並ぶ春物にも、つい目が止まってしまいます。今回ご紹介する『OTTE（オッテ）』は、そんな早春のアイテム選びにぴったりな、次の流行をいち早く先取りできるセレクトショップです。思い切りガーリーなコーディネーションから、エッジーなコーディネーション迄が思いのままにセレクトできる『オッテ』は、1999年にウィリアムズバーグ（ブルックリン）に基盤店をオープン、その後、2003年にウエスト・ビレッジをオープンし、去年の2008年にはマディソン街にも出店を果たした、まさに注目度の高いブティックと言えます。

“若い才能を発見して支持することが私たちの義務”というコンセプトでセレクトされたブランドは約160種類を、『3.1 Phillip Lim』や『ALEXANDER WANG』などの、いまもっとも勢いのあるブランドから、まだあまり名の知れていない新鋭ブランドまで、アメリカンブランドを中心に、『SONIA RYKIEL』『See by Chloe』など、ヨーロピアンブランドや、欧米で人気の『TUMORI CHISATO』『Comme des Garsons』などのジャパニーズブランドのアイテムでいっぱいです！　また、ジーンズの品ぞろえも秀逸で、スキニージーンズの先駆け『J BRAND』の種類が豊富なのも魅力のひとつ。そして注目すべきは、今年注目したい太めのジーンズも多くセレクトしている点。店内にぎゅうぎゅうにつまったラックの中から洋服を探したり、靴や鞄はもちろんのこと、パスケースやアンダーウエア、キャンドルまでそろっているアクセサリーを見始めれば、時間がたつのもあっという間！　スタッフもみんなお洒落でとっても親切なので、気軽にアドバイスを求めてみてください。斬新なコーディネート、こっそりを教えてくれるかもしれません！
