ニューヨークといえば、黒やグレーを基調にした、スタイリッシュでソフィスティケイトされたファッションがすぐに連想されますが、そんなイメージとは180度違った、ガーリーなハイファッションが楽しめるブティックが、今回ご紹介する『Kira Plastinina（キーラ・プラスティニーナ）』です。

ポップなアイテムが手頃な価格でたぷり楽しめる『キーラ・プラスティニーナ』は、今年春にニューヨークに登場したばかり。その話題性はアイテムだけではなくブランドのデザイナー、キーラ・プラスティニーナさんにもあり、驚くことに16歳になったばかりという若さ！　デザイナーとしてデビューしたのは、なんと15歳の時で、「才能も美貌も兼ね備えた女の子の登場」とファッション界の話題となったほど。すでにサクセスフルなデザイナーとしてのキャリアを築いているキーラさんのショップは、母国ロシアにおいては40店舗をも展開する大人気のショップです。小さい頃からプリンセスに憧れていた彼女が、自分が着たいドレスを自分でデザインするようになったのが、デザインを始めたきっかけなのだそう。そんなキーラさんが目指しているのは、「ピンクで可愛くてスウィート」、「プリンセスだけど、スタイリッシュなプリンセス」、「スポーティーなセクシーさ」といった“アンバランスなガーリー”がポイントの日常的なプリンセス像。これに共感したティーンたちが中心となって人気が集まり、1店舗目がオープンした春から、フィフスアベニュー、34丁目、と短期間にニューヨークのマンハッタン内に３店舗もできた勢いです。とくに、ニューヨーク一番のショッピング街と言われるブロードウェイにある『キーラ・プラスティニーナ』のソーホー店は、店内がキラキラしたピンク色の空間で統一されていて、そこはまるでバービードリームのよう！　2階のロフトにはベブラ柄の大きなベッドやクローゼットが置かれていて、女友達のうちに遊びにきた気分でゆっくりと買い物ができるのが魅力です。
