ミートパッキング、ロウワー・イーストサイドに続き、さらなる大きな展望を遂げたブルックリンのウィリアムズバーグ。その様変わりぶりは、ここ数年程で勢いを増し、いまでは、マンハッタンからわざわざショッピングに行ったり、食事やナイトライフを楽しもうとするニューヨーカーがあとを絶たないほどです。そんなウィリアムズバーグで注目したいのが、とってもキュートで、でもとっても真面目に犬のことを考えたドッグケア・サービス、『Dog Addiction（ドッグ・アディクション）』です。

この『ドッグ・アディクション』は、ドッグウォークからデイケア、ホテル、トレーニングやグルーミングまでと、幅広いサービスを提供するドッグケア・サービスを行っているショップです。 “ブルックリン在住でマンハッタン勤務”という働く飼い主さんに人気のデイケアは、朝７時から夜の７時まで（ミニマム４時間以上）でで25ドル、半日預かりが15ドルと、マンハッタンのデイケア価格
に比べ、やや低料金になるのが人気の秘密。さらに、 “送り迎えサービス”の料金も10ドルと、かゆい所に手が届くうえに低料金というのが嬉しい限りです。
また今では、「それまでマンハッタン在住だったけど、愛犬のためを思って裏庭付きのアパートを借りたかった」「ブルックリンのほうがマンハッタンより面積の広いアパートに住めるから、室内でも犬がのびのびできるから引っ越してきた」という人も決して少なくない中、“両手両足の爪切り（12ドル）” や“歯磨き（12ドル）”などの細かいサービスから、“子犬のしつけ教室（300ドル）”や“マンツーマンの個人しつけ教室（プラス150ドル）”など、幅広いメニューがそろっています。もちろんスタッフ達も大の動物好きで、おまけに彼等の副業（本業？）がアーティストやミュージシャン、人気DJだったりするのもブルックリンらしい、楽しいショップです。
