外は厳しい寒さの続くニューヨークですが、この寒い冬が終わる頃には、ラブラブモードで結婚式を控えているカップルもいます。また、「具体的な日取りは決まっていないけど年内には結婚したいね」と漠然と考えている恋人同士もいるのでは？　カップル達が、年明け早々に「今年あたりは……」「年内には……」と考えるちょうどこの時期から、アメリカでは、大々的なブライダル・フェア、『Great Bridal Expo（グレート・ブラダル・エキスポ）』が開催されます。今年は1月6日のフィラデルフィアをかわきりに、全米20カ所でこの大規模な展示会は行われており、ここニューヨークでは、21日にタイムズ・スクエアのど真ん中に位置するマリオット・マーキーホテルで開催されました。
会場内では、結婚式から披露宴のパーティー会場、テーブルセッティングからDJ、写真、送迎のリムジンなどのサービスに関連するから、ウエディングドレスはもちろんのこと、ヘアメーク、ブーケ、ジュエリーなどの“ウエディングの目玉”ともいえるメインコースを扱う会社、また新婚旅行を提案してくれる会社や、結婚式までにフェイシャル・リフティングで “プチ整形”、背中のあいたドレスも美しく着こなし、初夜以降のためにも全身を美しく永久脱毛を！　などと提案するサロン、会場の演出に欠かせない風船専門の業者までと、新しく誕生する新郎新婦のためのありとあらゆるサービスが一挙に集まっていて、その。総出展社・団体数はなんと300社以上！　そんななか、やっぱりショーの目玉は今年注目のデザインが勢揃いするウエディングドレスのファッションショー。会場からは、これからお嫁さんになる女性や一緒に来たお母さまからのため息がこぼれ、幸せムードいっぱいに。ニューヨーク会場はもう終了しましたが、まだまだ全米でこのエキスポが行われ、ウエッブサイトから申し込めば、誰でも参加することができ、プレゼントや抽選会などのお楽しみもいっぱい！　結婚の予定がない人だって参加できるので、これからなら他州で、またニューヨークでなら来年の１月中（決定日程は未定）に行われるので参加してみてはいかがですか？
