ハーレム・ジャズ・ナイトツアー

ハーレムにも日本人が住むようになった昨今ですが、1987年からハーレム在住のトミー冨田さんほど、ディープで面白い話をお持ちのかたはいません。とくに、ジャズに関してはかなりの知識を持っているので、ファンにとっては興味深い話が満載です。初心者のかたにも分かりやすく説明してくれるので、想い出に残るジャジーな夜になるでしょう。1939年創業のジャズクラブ『LENOX LOUNGE』は、伝説的ジャズ歌手ビリー・ホリデーも通った店で、運が良ければ、いつもビリー・ホリデーが座っていた“ビリーホリデー・シート”に座ることができるかも!?　夕食は、クリントン元大統領やセレブも通う、ハーレムとっておきの有名レストラン『SYLVIA’S』で。ハーレムの“名物おかあさん”シルビアさんのお店で、トミーさん厳選のソウルフードを堪能します。お帰りは、ご宿泊ホテルまでの送迎つきなので時間を気にすることなくジャズを楽しめます。

※ハーレムジャズとは？※
ジャズの発祥地は、アメリカ南部のニューオリンズといわれています。その後、黒人の大都市流入に伴い、ジャズ文化もニューヨークへ持ち込まれ、とくに黒人居住区として定着したハーレムは“ハーレムジャズ”という新しい文化を生み出し、その魂は現在に受け継がれています。
