ハロウィンやサンクス･ギビングが過ぎ、本格的なホリデーシーズン真っ只中にいるニューヨーク。この時期になると、いくつになっても子供の頃のようにわくわくするものですよね。さて、今回は時代を超えて私達の少女の心を掴み続けるバービー人形と、ニューヨークを代表するスタイリスト、パトリシア･フィールドのコラボレーションの話題をお届けします。子供の頃に、誰もが憧れたキュートなバービー人形の衣装たち。それらを現実化し、さらにパトリシアのファッションセンスのもと、現代的にスタイリッシュなものとなって生まれたのが、今回の初の実物大バービーコレクションなのです。

11月14日にはその初コレクション、Barbie by Patricia FieldとJunior’s Barbie Wear by Patricia Fieldの２つのラインが、パトリシア･フィールドのショップにて公開されました。パトリシア･フィールドと言えば、人気テレビドラマ『セックス･アンド･ザ･シティー』や、映画『プラダを着た悪魔』で有名なスタイリスト。現在は、映画版のセックス･アンド･ザ･シティーや、セックス･アンド･ザ･シティーに続くと言われている期待のテレビドラマシリーズ『カシミヤ･マフィア』のスタイリングを担当しており、どちらもそれらのスタイリングが注目されることは間違いなしです！

そんなパトリシアがバービー人形をインスピレーションに、『NOW　WOMAN（現代を生きる女性）』に向けてデザインしたコレクションは、どれもキュートでありながら洗練されたシルエット、メタリック且つカラフルな素材やプリントなど、今のトレンドをかんじさせるものばかり。これらの商品は、パトリシア･フィールドのショップで取り扱い中です。また、『Barbie by Patricia Fieldコレクション』はアメリカ東海岸のMACY’S（メイシーズ）各店で購入することが可能です。リアルサイズ＆リアルクローズとなって生まれたバービーコレクションは、バッグやアクセサリーも勢ぞろい。まさに身も心もバービーになれてしまう、そんなバービーコレクションです。
